This show was a Bloom House first; in that we had all eight artists currently working at the Bloom, show their work in one show! It transpired to be a study in rain and glory and had a very nice turn out of aesthetic pilgrims for such a wet night in Texas!
It felt like a spiritual labyrinth of life! Andy Dollerson and Mark Stoney took the back room, doing video installations and sound experiences. Derek did a collage of simultaneous videos one could surf at will. Hannah’s miniature Parisian circus-like gallery on the front porch and Amy’s cascading photographs in the orange room; along with Jen’s gorgeous textile art; Fran’s vivid landscape photography and Jenna’s kitchen installation, made a full meal of great art, and a night to remember!
The vibration was ecstatic and glorious, but with an undercurrent of just pleasant real everyday life. It was pleasing to experience people’s art in dialogue with one another’s as well as something transcendent! Thanks to all involved, and may all who came receive the holy seeds of becoming! Great end and great beginning to a hopeful new year! The Bloom begins.
